What is the best kind of pocket knife for daily use? There are tons of videos and knife blogs that give metal descriptions, have special handles and are wildly over priced. In this post well get down and dirty on practicality.
To me there are 3 brands that stand out the most when it comes to the best pocket knife. Benchmade, Kershaw and Gerber. In this post we’ll get into 3 knives from these brands, what constitutes a good pocket knife and how these measure up.
When I think of what makes a good pocket knife, I think of functionality first. If the knife works great and is beautiful but I cant get my phone or keys out of my pocket, then its to big. If its not bulky in my pocket but the blade is to small or wont lock to get through dry wall then its to small. The perfect pocket knife fits both of these criteria, is light weight and beautiful.
I guess if were being practical we should talk about cost as well. If you want a good knife you should expect to pay around $100 and in my opinion anything over $200 is over paying. Again this is strictly pocket knives. There are lots of specialty knives that are well above $300.
Lets get into this video to get the details.
